I think the best “New York” mood movie is the last story in CREEPSHOW when tyrannical E.G. Marshall gets eaten alive by cockroaches in his weird antiseptic penthouse. It really captures the flavor of the city more than MEAN STREETS or ANNIE HALL. Don’t you agree?
